MJGL to Review Winter 2027 Submissions Starting August 1
Dear MJGL Community,
The Michigan Journal of Gender & Law will be reviewing submissions for our 34th Volume beginning August 1, 2026. Submissions will be reviewed immediately beginning August 1, and offers will be made on a rolling basis.
Submissions can be made through Scholastica or emailed to mjgl-submissions@umich.edu and mjglgencoor@umich.edu. Please send the manuscript and your current CV.
Please review our submission types below. When submitting, please indicate what submission type and the title of the work.

Submissions are reviewed by MJGL’s Selections Committee for the following criteria:
- Relevance to Gender & Law
- Alignment with MJGL‘s Mission
- Novelty & Originality
- Scholarly Rigor & Substantive Support
- Technical Writing & Organization
- Theoretical & Practical Integration
- Contribution to Legal Scholarship
- Inclusivity of Underrepresented Voices
- Ethical Considerations
- Appropriateness of topic, length, and format
- Timeliness
